My journey with VE began nearly 15 years ago after watching a show with my family and wanting to be a part of it. I joined the group and have watched it continually evolve from one great performance to another. Everyone is friendly and welcoming, and I think of them as my VE family (in fact I even met my husband there). I like what it stands for, a group of people of all ages and abilities doing something they all enjoy, and most importantly raising thousands of pounds for local charities and good causes.
I joined the committee as Chairman a couple of years ago as I felt I had more time to commit, and as an Executive Assistant in my working life felt this would help me in this role.
I’m hoping to be performing for another 15 years as it has become part of my life and I shall continue to watch it grow and raise money for many more worthy causes.
