Many moons ago I played Hodel in Fiddler on the Roof at school, but it wasn’t until I took
part in a dance routine in the Variety Express ‘Greatest Show’ that I once again got the bug,
and decided to properly join the cast so I could take part in the whole show. In 2022, I was
very excited to have one line in ‘Believe’, and also took part in both comedy routines…,
playing Cilla Black in one! Lorra Lorra Laffs. The following year I had a few more lines to
learn, and I couldn’t have been happier.
Each week I look forward to the VE rehearsals so much, as they help me unwind from my
work as a TA supporting children with severe learning difficulties. Everyone in VE is so
friendly, just like one big family, and since joining the committee they have been very
supportive too. As Publicity Officer, I keep myself busy throughout the year, securing time
and space for the cast to show a free preview of the current show during fetes and festivals,
and even some Christmas events, so if you would like us to come along to a local event,
please get in touch and we will see what we can do
They say time flies when you’re having fun, so, for me, it’s racing past at the moment!
